For Live Blues Music –

B.B. King’s Blues Club

Located in a convenient location close to the French Market is B.B. King’s. This restaurant has a great bar where you can pull up a stool and enjoy a drink while taking in the music. It is a comfortable place to stop while walking around and had some of the best music we heard while in New Orleans. Make sure to check their calendar to find out what time live music is playing each day!

For Outdoor Live Jazz Music –

The Gazebo Cafe

Close to the water and the great shopping in the French Market, The Gazebo Cafe is the perfect place to stop for a drink. Pick up a drink at their to-go window and grab a seat outside to soak up the sun and listen to live jazz music. Don’t worry, they also have a covered area if the weather isn’t cooperating or you want to avoid a sunburn. A major bonus is that they offer some of the best prices for drinks in all of the French Quarter!

For Courtyard Seating (On Bourbon Street!) –

Pat O’Brien’s

Just off of bustling Bourbon street is Pat O’Brien’s. Their drink “The Hurricane”, it is a must-try for anyone visiting NOLA. The best part of Pat O’Brien’s is their amazing outdoor patio tucked just off the street with seating areas, a beautiful fountain and lush greenery all around. We loved to escape into the courtyard oasis to enjoy a drink before heading back out into the party atmosphere on Bourbon.

To Dance All Night –

Krazy Korner

When you’re looking to party, head to the Krazy Korner! If you’re looking for a live band to sing along with, you’ll want to stay on the main level. To find the DJ just walk upstairs and you’ll be dancing the night away. When you need a break, you can head out on their huge balcony to do some people watching and enjoy the warm midnight air. There’s something for anyone, no matter what you prefer!

To Get A Drink To Go –

Tropical Isle

There are two locations of Tropical Isle on Bourbon Street and you won’t be able to walk down the road without seeing their famous drink “The Hand Grenade” in the hands of many a tourist. The easily recognizable glass looks like a grenade and is a bright green color. They have a to-go window right on the street, so you can grab one to try while you take a stroll down the street.
