About Me

Hi, I’m Tessa!

I was born and raised in the Midwest and have a deep appreciation for people who can be “Minnesota Nice”.

I am a business owner, dog mom, and Netflix binge-watcher extraordinaire.

I love trying new things and going new places. There are few things that bring me as much joy as traveling and experiencing all the world has to offer!

As great as that all might sound, being someone with multiple food allergies means  travel can sometimes be a complicated ordeal.

Unlike other responsibilities, I can’t leave them at home when I go on vacation!

The truth is, being vigilant is such a big part of daily life when you have food allergies.

I know all too well the difficulties that can be involved in going new places and trying new things – it can be really scary.

As a lover of adventure, I never wanted my food allergies to hold me back.

Since being diagnosed with my allergies in 2011, I have continued to travel around the country and around the world.

Through it hasn’t always been easy, I have found ways to immerse myself in the culture and culinary delights of every place I have visited!

Now I am on a mission to share my personal experiences and favorite resources in the hopes that no matter the food allergies or intolerances, everyone can be empowered to explore the world without fear!

Definitely Benadryl and my Epipens. Allergy medication is literally a lifesaver!

I haven’t ever traveled alone! I am really impressed by those who can travel solo but have yet to give it a try. I almost always travel with family or friends.

LA! I am a big fan of Los Angeles. There are so many activities, the weather is amazing, and the options for allergy-friendly food are endless!

It is so hard to choose, but when it comes to places that could accommodate my allergies I would have to choose Rome. It really is an amazing city!

I don’t! I actually own two businesses that keep me really busy but that doesn’t stop me from setting aside time to travel the globe.
